Associate / Junior Advocate
OpenLocation: Hyderabad, Telangana. Regular physical presence at office and courts required. · Full-time
₹15,000–₹25,000 per month fixed, depending on drafting ability and experience, with performance-linked filing/drafting incentives after probation.
Initial probation: 3 months. Continuation subject to discipline, drafting ability, reliability, and court-work fit.
We are looking for an Associate or Junior Advocate to join the office team. The practice is litigation-led, with writ petitions under Article 226, civil and criminal matters before the High Court for the State of Telangana and other courts in Telangana, India, together with corporate retainer work including commercial drafting and compliance support.
Responsibilities
- Appearing before trial courts and the High Court for the State of Telangana, including oral arguments and submissions on listed matters.
- Legal research, case law analysis, and preparation of briefs and written submissions for court matters.
- Drafting and review of pleadings, applications, notices, and written arguments in writ, civil, and criminal proceedings.
- Court filings, diary management, and coordination for hearings and deadlines.
- Drafting and review of agreements and retainer documentation where corporate instructions require it.
- Client correspondence and matter updates under the Principal Advocate's supervision.
- Maintaining organised matter files, registers, and internal checklists.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law (LL.B.) from a recognised university in India.
- Enrolled as an advocate with a State Bar Council (Telangana preferred).
- 0 to 3 years of practice experience. Fresh enrollees with strong drafting skills are welcome to apply.
- Interest in court litigation as the centre of the role, with willingness to support corporate retainer work as needed.
- Clear written English and attention to procedural detail.
- Comfort working in a small team with direct supervision and accountability.
- Own vehicle for movement within Hyderabad and Telangana for court and office work.
Preferred
- Exposure to writ practice under Article 226 or civil/criminal work before the High Court for the State of Telangana.
- Experience appearing or assisting in trial courts and the High Court.
- Familiarity with e-filing and court office procedures in Telangana.
- Experience with commercial contracts, MOUs, or corporate compliance documentation.
